An uncontested divorce, often referred to as a simple divorce or a desk divorce, is a simple application to the court. It does not involve either party making claims such as asking for child support or property division. As court appearances are not required, filing a desk divorce saves both parties time and money. However, many desk divorce applications are rejected by the court due to the improper filing of required documents, improper service of documents, or missing information.
Our associates will ensure that your desk divorce paperwork is filed correctly the first time so that your divorce is granted in a timely manner. Divorce becomes final 31 days after a judge signs your divorce order.
